Are expensive salon shampoos really better than the shampoos you find at drug stores (Pantene, Head %26amp; Shoulders, Herbal Essences etc.)? If so, what really is better about them?I have questons for anyone who is an experienced professional hairdresser?
some of them yes they definately are... well the biggest thing is they have a pH that is closer to that of your hair which basically means that they are not as harsh on your hair.. because there are some very common shampoos out there that are more harsh than laundry detergent and some household cleaning products.
Also alot of drug store brands are bad to leave build up ... pantene is one of the worst you can use..because of this reason yes it will make your hair look shiny for a while but over time it leave major wax deposits on your hair causing it to look oily and making it hard to manage.
As far as drug store brands go I reccomend Tresseme very highly they have a great line of products.
Aso check out Sallys for there Great Value Product line they have alot of knock off professional brandsI have questons for anyone who is an experienced professional hairdresser?
Actually that is not true at all. Professional products are made for the exact service you are getting done.
But if you don't up keep your hair every 4-6 weeks then its not any better. I use Garnier and Pantene I do not like it over dries. it just depends on the style you do with your hair.
Yes, they absolutely are.
The saying, ';You get what you pay for.'; applies for this.
I only use salon shampoos because I straighten and curl my hair almost everyday, and dye it about every three months.
Try Aveda and Enjoy.
Mhm.
Shampoos you buy in stores.
Have alcohol in them.
