Do I give a picture of a hairstyle I want to a hairdresser?

I want to get a haircut, and I have no idea what I want, but I am looking through pictures, and i was wondering, can you just give a picture of a haircut to the hairdresser and that person can do it, because I couldn't personally explain myself what I want to do with my hair. if you have a hard time explaining what you want to the hair dresser, then i would really recommend taking a picture. but keep in mind that unless your hair texture is the same as the picture's it wont turn out the same.Do I give a picture of a hairstyle I want to a hairdresser?
You def can to give them an idea of how you want your hair to look like, But know that your hair may not come out looking exactly like the pic. You have to take into consideration your hair type, texture, color, etc.
Yes definitely bring pictures with you. Most people can't describe the cut they want and even if they can a stylist can interperate your description wrong.

yeah! hairdressers actually would rather you do that. mine are always sooo happy when i bring pictures for them to copy.

they are actually happier when you do that so they don't have to keep asking what you want.
