How would you explain this certain haircut to a hairdresser?

I want the whole ';scene'; haircut with the whispy bangs and choppy ends, layered. I can't seem to find a picture that's exactly what I want. I've tried to get this haircut before but I guess the hairdresser didn't quite understand what I wanted? How would you explain this cut?

And, i've heard you could cut it yourself to make it look ';scenster'; but I don't think I want to go that far. :)How would you explain this certain haircut to a hairdresser?
Basically its just long choppy layers throughout and shorter layers on top. and then you use a hair straighter/hair gel to style. Theres a two very good blog sites with a load of photos that illustrate exactly what you are looking for. ~~~%26gt;

Try to find a picture of the hair style.
im having the same problem, i got a whole bunch of hair pictures i liked and told her to do certain things from that picture i had a picture with bangs i like top crown part and the ends it worked out well
y dont u try 2 find a picta lyk it n show the hair dressers x
If you can't find a photo could you not do a few sketches yourself to give the hairdresser the right idea?
find a picture of the haircut and show it to them, its the only way =)
Go to Tony and Guy, they're great at that sort of cut. They'll know exactly what you mean.
what the hell are bangs?
Say you want an emo fringe! haha. no tell them you want a full fringe sweeping across your face with choppy layers so you can mess it up and do what you like with it. if you still cant explain go to the hair dressers early to look through some of their magazines, or buy like a music magazine or something, they all have good hair.
Go in to the hairdresser's and look through the hair magazines in there. They usually have some up-to-date ones, you may find what you're looking for in them.

Or if one of your friends has their hair cut the same way, take them with you so the hairdresser can see it. I did this with my last haircut and I love the way the hairdresser did it!

Alternatively try clicking on the images tab in a search engine and type in hair styles, if you see what you want and you have a printer you can click on the image and print it out.
