How have others found the whole college experience - and how have your job prospects faired after.Training to be a hairdresser as a mature student?
good luck, im going back to college to train as Beauty Therapist as mature student and really nervous. Lets hope couple of years from now we'll be able to answer this question for someone else and tell them about what a positive experience we had.

yes jobs are easy to come by or plenty of work if you go mobile but not much money in it i am now a childminder

Just ask the freaking question. Just be all like,'; Look, my hair is gay. I want it colored. Blah Blah blahhhhhhhh.'; And yes. They will know what color will suit you. They went to school for that.
most hairdressers r experienced enough 2 no wot color suits ur skin , u will have 2 do a test 4 24 hrs 2 see u havnt got an allergy 2 the color they use . they just put a sample behind ur ear 2 check u dont have an allergy goodluck

Don't go to a hairdresser for color. Go to a colorist. They will have all the answers for you just by looking at your hair.
You need to find a colourist you trust... and he or she will know exactly what you need... you just need to explain if you want something natural or a big change...
DO NOT ASK THEM AS THEY WILL ALWAYS GIVE YOU THE MOST EXPENSIVE ANSWER IN THE SHOP

Sun
A mag
Go into the shower and wet your hair. Shampoo it free of all dirt. Wash out. Now, comb your hair and put the (Already squirted) Lemon Juice where you want your highlights. Then, go outside and sit in the sun for 1-2 hrs, reading a mag. Then come back in after that time and wash out your hair again. Well if you dont want to go to a hair salon and do it then you can go to a beeauty supply store and get a HAIR BLEACCHING KIT %26amp;| buy the color that you want (a hair dye]. Then when you get home the directions are on the box and follw it from there. Hair for a photo shoot! Any hairdressers out there??
This is a question for any hairdressers or stylists out there. I have a photo shoot in a week. I'm getting headshots done so i can pursue my dance career. I just got my hair cut last week and so now its a little longer than my shoulders. My hair is dark brown and very wavy (some would call it curly i guess.) It looks curly to me but online they define my hair as wavy. I want it to look great for my shoot...how should i do it? Also I have kind of a bigger forehead, at least i think i do, and i don't have bangs because my hair is so think and crazy and how does a person with such wavy hair manage bangs? Should i get bangs? AS FAR AS THE FOREHEAD ISSUE, YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE BANGS. JUST WEAR YOUR HAIR IN A WAY THAT HIDES SOME OR MOST OF YOUR FOREHEAD, FOR EXAMPLE, PART IT ON THE SIDE AND SWEEP IT OVER THE FOREHEAD.
I WOULDN'T STYLE IT IN A WAY THAT IS SOMETHING THAT YOU DON'T EVER WEAR. WHOEVER SEES YOUR HEAD SHOTS NEEDS TO KNOW THAT YOU HAVE HARD TO MANAGE HAIR.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE LAYERS NOW, I WOULD SUGGEST GETTING SOME LAYERS AND HAVING THE SIDES FRAME YOUR FACE. IT WILL DETRACT FROM YOUR FOREHEAD.
