I really want to grow out my layers and have my hair down to my armpits.
How long will this take?Last month, the hairdresser cut my layers too short and I want to grow them out?

Well.. my hair are exactly that length and I am planning to have them even shorter next month!!
Anyway... hair grow approximately 1.5'; a month.. so you do have to wait for good 2-3 months (depending upon your hair growth that is).
your other option is to go for hair extensions... go back to your saloon and ask for alternatives.
I had this same problem but it's been 3 weeks now and it looks so much better. I've been takeing biotin which is supposed to be a miracle vitamin for growing your hair fast and healthy. I also got highlights that made it look much better too.
Well, i'm talking centimeters here, cause we don't use inches in europe. Your hair grows 1 centimeter per month in winters, 2 centimeters in summers. So that would take a year and a half for the shortest parts to grow past shoulder-lenght.
Trimming is vital, cause breakage keeps your hair short.
I have shorter hair on the front, which also takes longer to grow (it breaks easily). So all the advice that i can give you: prevent breakage!!
Sleep on a satin/silk pilllow, or braid your hair and use a scarf to cover your hair when you go to bed.
Eat healthy and don't comb when wet.
Hope it's usefull!
