Yep they can, just bring in a photo of how your hair used to look, or just let it grow out like an inch and she/he will be able to guess the colour and dye it.

Can a hairdresser match your natural haircolor?
My hair is naturally light brown but I have been dying it blonde for about 5 years. I hate to let my hair grow out, because it looks horrible with roots. Is there any way a hairdresser can match or come close to my natural hair color so I can let it grow out?Can a hairdresser match your natural haircolor?
