Bad hair colour at hairdressers.......how to sort it out?

the roots are lighter that the rest of the colour and the overall colour does not suit my skin tone at all but in the salon it looked nice (thats artificial lighting for you) i want to go slightly darker to my natural mousy brown again (anythings better than the colour it is now) but is that possible with a semi permanant colour because i dont want to do a permanant again so soon. thanksBad hair colour at hairdressers.......how to sort it out?
uhm..well if yoo've only just had yoor hair dyed...I'd leave it a couple of weeks or so. and probably get a semi permanant...

It can damage yoor hair and scalp doing it so soon...Bad hair colour at hairdressers.......how to sort it out?
by your own hair color!
Go back to the salon in question and get them to look at your colour in natural lighting. They should see that there is a problem and sort it out for you free of charge. As you are going slightly darker again you are only adding colour so the colours they will use are gentle and shouldn't damage your hair.

You must go back as they have a duty of care to you, so they must sort it out for you.

Depending how light your hair is will determine whether or not they use a permanent or a semi-permanent, if your colour is really light then a permanent may be the only option as the semi could wash out in a couple of washes. They will advise of the best options.
Hi as a salon owner and experienced stylist and colourist

this should not have happened in the first place, and is not acceptable from a salon, you should go back and complain

especially if they are registered with the N.H.F

if you don't want to do that, then go to a Sally's hair store or a good chemist and buy a toner for the colour you want to achieve, it will not bleach it so do not worry, however I would be very very annoyed if one of my stylists was responsible for what has happened to you
it depends on how light you have been bleached, if you are at the yellow or the pale yellow stage then you would need to put something with a red base on or otherwise you will get the ';muddy'; green effect. i suggest you use Goldwell 5k mahogany copper - this will have the red base in that you need. i know this is a permanent but if you want to tone it down then that is the only way how or otherwise a semi will not have enough deposit to take on your hair. otherwise you can use a toner formulated for use on bleached hair like Goldwell perfect your blonde fluid which has a violet base to counteract the yellow tones but without any further damage as it is a styling product rather than a colour and contains no ammonia or peroxide. although it will need to be applied after every time you wash your hair like any other product you may use.
Go back and complain.

Go when it's busy and ask the manager to look at your hair in natural light. If they are unwilling to fix the problem repeat the problem loudly in front of their customers and ask for a refund. If you paid by credit card cancel the payment.

Ring round a couple of hairdressers and tell them what has happened they should be able to help and they might even give you a discount.
